The Art of Adapting | with Karla Santi

On the latest episode of Behind the Business, Founders in the 605, Marcus and Alexis Mahlen sit down with Karla Santi, CEO of Blend Interactive. Based in Sioux Falls, Blend Interactive guides teams through complicated web and content problems — from the first strategic questions through design, development, and the years of work that follow.

Originally from Owatonna, Minnesota, Karla attended Morningside University in Sioux City, Iowa to major in graphic design and minor in business. After the firm she was working for post-grad was shut down, Karla’s freelance work started building up, allowing her to freelance full time. After a few years of freelancing, she founded Blend Interactive with three other business partners.

In this episode, Karla discusses how the art of adapting has led to her success in business, from the transition of freelancing into a starting a business, buy/sell agreements, having business partners come and go, implementing an EOS, and adding services to Blend Interactive’s core offerings. She also explains AI’s impact on the website design industry.
